LGT(Leo's Games Tools)

Hello! First of all, thanks a lot for this tool. I don't know much about modding but thanks to this, I could find a starting point. I wish to change an enemy (the snakes) and I figured this tool would be useful but I think I need to edit the .md1 files? My question is, will there be an update for this tool that supports those files like RE2MV tool or is there an another way for me to edit them?
Or can I replace the snake's EMD file with another enemy's, say crows, without breaking the game, so that crows will appear instead of snakes? Thank you.
