Destruction Derby 1 (and why not the 2) PS1 game
« on: March 02, 2016, 09:07:14 pm »
Hi Leo,

Since you created a tool for Destruction Derby Arenas, is there any chance to see a tool for the models or textures? It was my first game on the Playstation back then  :)
Thanks.

It will not be easy, but I hope that there are tools for that.
The arenas just to rip some textures, hopefully in the near future it appears the tool to rip models including race tracks, as of course :)

There is an alternative if you want the cars and the tracks of d1 and d2, you can rip the modified version (Destruction Derby 2 Carmageddon 2 Total Conversion), and use the necessary tool.

Modded version and download: http://destructionderby.wikia.com/wiki/DD2C2TC
Tool for import tracks and cars: http://www.carmageddon.com/forum/topic/26916

Or have patience to have the necessary tool. :)

I already saw the carmageddon conversion, nice one. But of course it's better to have the original models :)
For the textures, i can have them by using an emulator and rip them.
There's quite some time, i recreated 2 cars of the first game (Bouncer and Learner Driver).

Yes of course i'm aware of this.

Edit: well it's possible to open some textures with PSXTimViewer.
